Riverside Film Festival to raise funds for Crossroads

The Riverside High School (Painesville Twp.) Film Festival Committee has chosen Crossroads to be the recipient of this year's Riverside charity event and receive partial profits. The remaining profits are used to update software and technology for the video production department at Riverside.

The event is Saturday, May 3 at 7 p.m. and tickets are $5. Tickets are only sold at the door. Concessions will also be available.

This is a student-run event where the kids produce their own short-films. All films are shown this evening, and awards are given. In the past, some students have received college scholarships - they are very talented. Student volunteers raise funds, pound the pavement for donations/prizes - basically "run the show" with teacher guidance.

So if you are looking for something different to do with friends or family - come on out to support the kids at Riverside and at Crossroads.
