What is Crossroads?
Crossroads is a non-profit community behavioral health care organization that has been serving the people of Lake County since 1971. From our headquarters in Mentor, and satellite sites in Painesville, Perry and Concord, Crossroads serves more than 19,000 children and families each year.
We offer a broad range of mental health and substance-abuse services for children and their families. Our staff of social workers, counselors, educators and psychiatrists offers individual treatment plans, education, and outreach programs in the schools and community. What we believe:
Crossroads believes in making behavioral health care services accessible to children and their families. Parents and caregivers must be involved in the treatment of their children for it to be successful. We strive to make all of our programs client-centered, high-quality, effective, efficient and based on positive outcomes.
What does it cost?
All services are provided on a sliding fee scale and no client will be refused treatment because of inability to pay. Health insurance may cover some services, and income eligibility applies to certain programs. Medicaid will cover most services for families that are eligible.
How are we funded?
Services at Crossroads are made possible in large part through funding provided by the Lake County ADAMHS (Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services) Board. Established by the State of Ohio, the ADAMHS Board is responsible for planning, funding, and evaluating Lake County’s mental health and recovery services. More information on the services provided through the ADAMHS Board and its network of local providers is available on-line at www.HelpThatWorks.us. Specific programs may be funded by local, state or federal grants, service contracts, or other sources.
